LivaNova, a manufacturer of medical equipment for cardiac surgery and perfusion, held the Central Asian Perfusionists Summit on Innovation in Extracorporeal Circulation in Almaty on March 31, 2023. Topics included in the Summit program: Cardioplegia: Safety and Control, Patient Blood Management and the Role of the Blood Transfusion Service, How to Create and Implement Quality Indicators, The Importance of Gas Monitoring during ECMO, and many others. This Summit brought together experts from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. A master class was also held as part of the Summit. Thanks to the knowledge and skills they have acquired, perfusionists from different regions of our country will be able to provide even better care to their patients.
