SAYDEX – disinfection, DWU, sterilization
Disinfectant and sterilizer (two-component system consisting of liquid and powder components).
Purpose: for disinfection of medical devices (including rigid and flexible endoscopes and their instruments: instruments used in dentistry and microsurgery), as well as for sterilization of these medical devices (hereinafter referred to as devices).
Состав: жидкий компонент — 2% водный раствор глутарового альдегида, порошкообразный компонент-щелочной агент, ингибитор коррозии и краситель.
Consistency, properties: liquid component – colorless transparent liquid with specific smell; powder component-fine powder of light yellow color.
The agent fixes organic contaminants. After complete dissolution of the activator, the pH of the solution reaches the value of 8.2-9.2; the solution acquires a fluorescent green color.
Packaging: plastic canisters with a capacity of 1L, 5L and 10L.+ plastic pencil cases with a powder component for each container.
Microbiology: it has bactericidal (including tuberculocidal), virucidal (including against pathogens of parenteral viral hepatitis and HIV infection), fungicidal, and sporocidal properties.
Toxicity: Class 4 of low-risk substances (in case of exposure. on the skin)
Application: to prepare a solution, pour the powdered activator (avoiding loss) from the plastic pencil case attached to the container into the container containing the liquid component.
Disinfection of medical devices is carried out by immersion. Disassembled medical devices are placed in the solution. Exposure time:- for bacterial (except for tuberculosis) and viral infections — 15 minutes; — for candidiasis — 30 minutes; — for tuberculosis and dermatophytosis — 90 minutes.
During sterilization, all manipulations are carried out under aseptic conditions. The exposure time at a temperature of 21-1C is as follows: 4 hours for metal products, and 10 hours for products that include other materials, including polymers.
Shelf life: components 2 years; activated solution 14 days.
Storage conditions: at a temperature of +5C to +20C. in places protected from direct sunlight, in a dark, cool place.
ATTENTION! It is not allowed:
— to use the product in an unactivated form;
— to divide each of the product’s components into parts in order to prepare a smaller volume of an activated solution;
— to use the product for disinfection and sterilization before the activator is completely dissolved in the glutaraldehyde solution.
